Oh well. Would you like them?
oh it’s me…
i am a comforting sea cow
No, I didn’t just cry over a manatee meme. And it totally wasn’t because these are all things I wish someone would tell me. It was because I really enjoy manatees and text on pictures.
I approve.
I needed this. Is that weird? It’s weird, isn’t it?
I’m putting this on my toolbar for emergencies.

Hollow apology, check (emphasis mine):
“Back in high school, I did some dumb things and if anybody was hurt by that or offended, obviously I apologize for that,” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said in an interview on Fox News Radio today.
Skirting the issue, check:
“I certainly don’t believe that I thought the fellow was homosexual,” he said of Lauber.
How insincere can this guy get? Granted, it did happen 50 years ago, but it would mean a LOT more if he just said, “I publicly apologize to Lauber for my immature, vile behavior” and left it at that, no excuses.
THIS. I have now lost what tiny, miniscule slice of respect I had for Romney (that was there mostly for bringing healthcare to MA). He did something dumb and cruel when he was a kid. We all do. But not acknowledging that, not really apologizing for that, trying to elude it when you’re a rich and powerful adult? That is some bullshit.
Also: note the language. “I don’t believe I thought that…” Look how much glass he’s putting between himself and any actual feelings, thoughts, or responsibility. What an asshole.

I’m not sure if Yauch and his group ever considered what they were accomplishing just by being themselves and playing the music they wanted to play. Sometimes people who do important things have no idea how important they are; they’re just doing what they feel they were made to do. In my…
